What is a Set Runner?
A set runner is a jack of all trades. You will be responsible to help across whichever department needs your help. Be that the lighting team, photographer or stylist. You will be the producer’s right hand and will perform whatever tasks they need help with. There will be a lot of heavy lifting carrying props, equipment, wardrobe, etc. from cars into studio / location and then packing it all up again. We will train you to work within this environment and to understand what will be expected of you. This position is perfect for someone who wants to work within the creative industry but currently have none or very little experience.
What skills do I need?
You will need to be able to work well within a team environment and be up to meeting and working with brand new people everyday. A drivers license will be a major bonus and will set you apart from others. A willingness to learn and to work hard will count in your favour. Problem solving and strong communication skills will be a requirement. When we do interviews to short list candidates for the training course we will be looking for these specific qualities.
